Labor Shramik Card Registration news: The central government has developed the e-shram portal which will be linked with the Aadhar card. Here while updating the photo at the time of registration, it takes the photo from Aadhar Services. Therefore the photo cannot be updated in it. The special thing is that if the worker makes changes in the photo of the Aadhar card, then it will automatically appear on the e-Shram portal after Aadhaar authentication.
There should be some necessary documents for its registration. These are Aadhaar number, mobile number linked with Aadhaar and bank account number. The workers registered under the eShram portal will be enrolled under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY). At the same time, the Ministry of Labor and Employment will pay the premium for the first year.
No fee to be paid
So far, more than 5 crore workers of the unorganized sector have got themselves registered here. Let us tell you that the registration on the e-Shram Portal is completely free. Workers can get themselves registered at the Common Services Centers or the Regional Office of the State Government. The workers will not have to make any payment for this at the Common Service Center (CSC) or anywhere.
How to register online
To register themselves in the e-Shram portal, workers will have to login to the official website eshram.gov.in, after which click on the link ‘Register on e-SHRAM’ on the home page. After this, you enter your mobile number and captcha code associated with Aadhaar, after which you have to click on Send OTP. Follow the instructions to complete the registration process.
Only these people can get e-shram card made
According to the guideline, this card is only for laborers working in the unorganized sectors, agricultural laborers and landless agricultural workers. People of the unorganized sector whose age is between 16 years to 59 years, similar people can get this card made. At the same time, the members of EPFO or ESIC cannot get this benefit.
