Eid Bank Holiday June 2024: Banks in India will remain closed on Monday 17 June 2024 due to Eid-ul-Adha holiday. India is preparing to celebrate Eid ul-Adha on 17 June 2024 and people are very curious as this holiday is on Monday. Will this give banks a long weekend in India. Eid ul-Adha is also known as the Festival of Sacrifice. It is one of the most important Islamic holidays, which commemorates Ibrahim’s (Abraham) willingness to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God.

Banks will remain closed on Monday

Eid ul-Adha will be closed on Monday 17 June 2024 for public and private banks across the country. All banks will remain closed on Monday. The closure of bank branches will affect cash deposits, withdrawals, check clearance and other banking services and transactions.

Eid ul-Adha Bank Holidays in June 2024

Banks in India are usually closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month and all Sundays. This is the third Saturday of the month, on which banks will be open in most parts of the country. Exceptions to this include Aizawl and Bhubaneswar, where banks will be closed due to local holidays. Banks will be closed on Sunday, June 16, Monday, June 18. For bank customers, this means planning in advance for any urgent banking needs.
