The moon of Eid has been visible, now the festival of Eid ul Fitr will be celebrated all over India on Monday. Syed Ahmed Bukhari, Shahi Imam of Delhi’s Jama Masjid, said that the moon of Eid has been seen, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on May 25 in the whole country. However, in the states of Kerala and Jammu and Kashmir, Eid was celebrated on Sunday after the Eid moon was lit on Saturday.
Actually, Eid-ul-Fitr is the biggest festival of Muslims, which is celebrated on the completion of the month of Ramadan. The festival of Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated by observing the moon after 29 or 30 days of Ramadan. Eid was celebrated on 24 May after observing the moon after completing 30 fasts in all Gulf countries including Saudi Arabia, UAE. While in India, the moon of Eid appeared on 24 May. After which the festival of Eid will be celebrated on 25 May.
Let us know that the month of Ramadan ends with the appearance of Eid-ul-Fitr moon and Eid is celebrated with the month of Shawwal being Sharu. Therefore, the date of celebrating Eid is different due to the calculation of the moon.

Earlier in Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow, people were desperate for a glimpse of the moon on Saturday, but the moon was not visible. Imam Idgah Maulana Khalid Rashid Farangi Mahali said that the moon did not appear on Saturday. Due to this, Eid will now be on Monday. At the same time, the Imam of Delhi’s Jama Masjid announced that Eid will be celebrated on Monday
Appeal to offer Namaz in homes
In view of the Corona crisis, all religious places are closed, so prayers are not allowed in the mosque. On one hand, where the administration is ready, on the other hand, Maulana and the Ulemaas have been requested to offer Eid prayers at home. With this, an appeal has been made to Corona to pray for safe keeping. Apart from this, Eid has also been asked not to be hugged and congratulated on social media. A request has been made to celebrate Eid with family at home.
Only 4 to 5 people will offer Eid prayers in mosques
Maharashtra’s Minority Affairs Minister Nawab Malik said on Sunday that people of the Muslim community would not offer namaz with the Jamaat on the occasion of Eid. Only 4 to 5 people will offer prayers in mosques and Idgah. This decision has been taken in view of corona infection. Malik said that the way people have restrained themselves on the occasion of Shab-e-Baaraat and Shab-e-Kadra. Similarly, we will also do it on Eid. Therefore, all people should offer namaz in their homes instead of offering prayers in mosques and Idgahs.
