After the increase made on Friday, the dearness allowance of state government employees and pensioners will increase from 53% to 55%. The hike in dearness allowance comes after the Union Cabinet on March 28 hiked dearness allowance by 2% for central government employees and pensioners. The DA of central government employees and pensioners has also increased from the current 53% to 55%.
Keep in mind, the increase in your salary due to the increase in dearness allowance will depend on your basic salary. The higher the basic salary, the more proportionately your salary will increase.
