7th Pay Commission DA Hike: Before Diwali, the Yogi government of UP has prepared a complete plan to please about 14 lakh employees of the state. Recently, the government had announced to increase the DA/DR of employees by 4 percent. Now the government is preparing to give another gift to the employees. Sources claim that this time on the occasion of Diwali, the government is going to give double bonanza. The file of bonus and dearness allowance will be prepared after the secretariat opens after Dussehra.
Dearness allowance will be given at the new rate
After the recommendation of the Chief Minister, bonus will be given to non-gazetted employees and dearness allowance will be given at the new rate to state employees and teachers. Work is also going on to prepare for giving the bonus before Diwali. Increasing DA will increase the additional burden of Rs 300 crore on the state government. Bonus is given to non-gazetted employees on the basis of the rate fixed by the Centre. According to this, a maximum bonus of Rs 7000 will be given to the employees. This will increase the expenditure of the state government by more than Rs 1000 crore.
7 lakh pensioners of the government also benefited
Earlier, Yogi Cabinet had given approval to increase DA/DR by 4 percent. The increased amount of DA/DR will be given to the employees from July 1. Apart from the employees, 7 lakh pensioners of the state government will also benefit from this. This money is expected to come in the October salary before Diwali. Accordingly, the government will pay three months’ arrears along with the increased salary for October. At present, DA is being given to employees at the rate of 42 percent, which will increase to 46 percent.
Let us tell you that DA hike is announced twice a year by the government. The first DA hike is implemented every year from January 1 and the second from July 1. Modi Cabinet has also decided to increase DA/DR by 4 percent for 49 lakh employees and more than 65 lakh pensioners.
