Employees Salary Payment: If salaries will be paid to lakhs of employees on time. Their salary and allowances will be sent to their account between 1st to 5th of the month. For this, instructions have been given to the officers by the District Skills Officer.
According to Subsidiary Rule 109(3) of Madhya Pradesh Treasury Code 2020, it is necessary to pay the monthly salary and allowances of all government servants on the first day of the month. However, if salaries and allowances are not paid by the 5th of the month, the Withdrawal and Disbursement Officer will be held responsible for the same.
Giving information, District Treasury Officer of Panna district, Gaurav Gupta said that it is being seen that some offices are not submitting the monthly salary and allowances online to the treasury at the stipulated time. Due to which there is unnecessary delay in payment of salaries to employees.
Instructions to DDO
All DDOs have been instructed by the District Treasury Officer to compulsorily generate the monthly salary bills of government servants from 25th to 27th of every month and submit them online to the treasury. Along with this, instructions have been given to attach the reason for withholding salary and the order of the competent authority regarding payment at the time of salary payment.
It is clearly stated in the order that in the last week of the month, salary and non-essential bills and any other bills should not be submitted. In the absence of competent approval, the staff salary bill will not be considered and the DDO will be held responsible for the delay in payment.
The salary of subordinate government servants is being withdrawn by the office through staff salary option. Due to salary and allowances approval order not being attached with the payment bill, a situation of erroneous payment and financial irregularities and embezzlement has arisen at many places.
