For example, the basic salary of an employee is calculated by multiplying the 7th Pay Commission fitment factor by 2.57. With the increase in the fitment factor, the minimum wage will also increase. If the basic salary of a central employee is Rs 18,000, then his salary excluding allowances will be 18,000 X 2.57 = Rs 46,260 profit. On 3.68, the salary will be Rs 95,680 (26000 X 3.68 = 95,680) i.e. Rs 49,420 in salary. If it is increased to 3 then the basic salary will be Rs 21000.
Apart from this, a decision can be taken soon on the outstanding DA arrears of 18 months of the much-awaited Central Government employees-pensioners. According to the latest media reports, the outstanding DA arrears from January 2020 to June 2021 can be paid soon. The government is going to reconsider this and a meeting of the Joint Consultative Mechanism (JCM) with the officials of the Ministry of Finance, Department of Personnel and Training and Department of Expenditure may be held soon in this regard. Under the 7th Pay Commission, as a rough estimate, Level 13 employees will get Rs 1,44,200 to Rs 2,18,200 as DA arrears.
