How is EPF money deducted?
12% of the basic pay and DA of any employee is deposited in the PF account. The company also deposits 12% contribution into the employee’s PF account. Of the company’s contribution, 3.67 percent is credited to the EPF account. At the same time, 8.33 percent money is deposited in the Pension Scheme.
How to know whether money is being deposited or not?

How can I check whether the money has been deposited by the company or not?
For this you will have to check the passbook of your EPF account. There will be details in your passbook as to when and how much money has been deposited. You can check this by visiting EPFO Portal, for this the steps are given below-
How to check passbook on EPFO portal
Step 1- First of all, go to EPFO Portal https://www.epfindia.gov.in/site_en/index.php . For this you must have your UAN (Universal Account Number) activated.
Step 2- Once the site opens, go to the ‘Our Services’ tab and then select the drop-down menu ‘for employees’.
Step 3- Click on ‘member passbook’ below the service column.
Step 4- On the next page you will have to enter your UAN and Password. Log in by entering the captcha.
Step 5- After logging in, enter the member ID. After this your EPF balance will be visible. In this, you also get information about account balance, details of all deposits, establishment ID, member ID, office name, employee share and employer share.
