EPFO, which manages EPF, allows its subscribers to make online e-nomination through the website. It is necessary to make an account nominee to avoid troubles like death of EPF member or other accidental event.
In a tweet, EPFO has made available information about the facility of online submission of e-nomination to its subscribers. EPFO has written in its tweet that, “File your e-nomination today to avail online benefits of Provident Fund (PF), Pension (EPS) and Insurance (EDLI) services.”

According to the EPFO, “It is extremely important for the subscriber to file his nomination to take care of his wife, children and parents and to empower them through online PF, pension and insurance.”
What is the step by step process of filing nomination
To file your nominee in EPF account through online medium, first you have to visit the official website of EPFO www.epfindia.gov.in. After this you will have to enter your UAN No. And login by entering the password. After this step, you have to click on the tab of Manage and select the option of e-nomination. After this, the page that will open in front of you will see the complete information of the member such as UAN, name and date of birth. After this process, after entering the information of your current and permanent address, you will have to click on the option of save.
After this step, you have to go to the option of Add Family by selecting the option of YES to update the family declaration. After this, you have to enter the name, date of birth, relationship, address and Aadhaar number of the nominee. You can fill the details of more than one nominee through the Add row option. After this step, by going to the nomination details, you can decide how much of the EPF has to be given to which nominee. After this step you have to click on save nomination.
After this you have to generate an OTP by clicking on the E-Sign tab. After which an OTP will come on your registered mobile number. Your e-nomination will be registered with EPFO as soon as you enter it.
