To withdraw the EPF amount, you need to provide the following documents:

  • Universal Account Number (UAN): Your unique identification number for EPF accounts.
  • Bank account information: Details of the bank account where the EPF amount will be transferred.
  • Proof of identity and address: Valid documents that confirm your identity and current address (like Aadhaar card, passport or voter ID card).
  • Cancelled Cheque: A cancelled cheque containing the IFSC code and account number to facilitate the transfer.

It is possible to withdraw EPF amount without the signature of the employer. You can do this by generating a claim online. The money is credited to your account within 15 days of your claim. However, to withdraw money from the PF account without the permission of the company, you will need to have an active Universal Account Number (UAN), updated KYC and your mobile number registered with your UAN. If these conditions are met, you can successfully withdraw your EPF amount without requiring the signature of your employer.
