Union Minister Jitendra Singh said that a special window has been arranged for pensioners above 80 years of age to submit life proof from October 1 to avoid congestion. Singh said that it is mandatory to submit a life certificate every year to continue the pension. He said that the Department of Pension and Pensioners Welfare has recently taken an innovative decision to involve the Indian Post Payments Bank to submit digital life certificates.

Pensioners can submit life certificates to 3.65 lakh Common Service Centers (CSC), pension dispensing banks branches across the country.
