After this decision of the government, instead of the district headquarters, deduction from the honorarium and the amount given by the government can be deposited at the block level. Due to less staff in the blocks, this work will be completed easily. At present, more than 42 thousand personnel are deployed under MNREGA in Uttar Pradesh.
According to the information received, the District Magistrates have been instructed that now EPF should be deposited at the block level itself. With this, more money will be deposited easily on time. He should direct the Chief Development Officer that all the program officers, officers of banks and EPFO should hold a meeting under his chairmanship, so that after planning, login password and internet banking facility should be given to all the development blocks for depositing money.
Additional commissioner MNREGA Yogesh Kumar gave this information. He said that the responsibility of non-deposit of EPF will be of the Deputy Commissioner, Labor Employment, Block Development Officer, concerned accountant and Additional Program Officer.
Additional Commissioner MNREGA Yogesh Kumar said that the Deputy Commissioner Labor Employment will review it month-wise. Along with this, the Additional Commissioner has ordered that till the complete arrangement is done, the EPF should be deducted and deposited as before. According to their honorarium, there is a rule to deposit the EPF amount in the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization every month. Due to the large number of personnel at the district headquarters, everyone’s money was not being deposited in the stipulated time.
