Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has recently done a tweet regarding pensioners. Through this tweet, it has been said on behalf of EPFO that ‘EPS’95 pensioners can now submit life certificate at any time which will be valid for 1 year from the date of submission. This is a relief news for the pensioners because before that they had to submit the life certificate till a certain time, otherwise there was a possibility of stopping the pension.
Keeping in mind the pensioners, EPFO has provided the facility of submitting Digital Life Certificate (DLC) to the pensioners. For this, pensioners will not need to go to the bank or pension agency. You can submit it online from anywhere. Whether you submit the life certificate online or offline, it is considered valid in both the ways.

How to submit DLC
Pensioners can easily submit their Life Certificates digitally at EPFO Regional Offices and District Offices apart from Pension Disbursing Bank branch and nearest Post Offices. Apart from this, DLC can also be deposited through UMANG app and at Common Service Centers. To submit the life certificate online, the pensioner must have PPO number, Aadhaar number, bank account details, mobile number linked with Aadhaar.
Doorstep service also available
If pensioners cannot go for it themselves, then doorstep service is also available for them. The facility of doorstep service will be available in post offices and banks. In this, the postman or bank employee goes to the pensioner’s house and submits the life certificate. But you have to apply for this facility in advance.
