Balance can be found through SMS
If your UAN number is registered with EPFO, then your PF balance information will be received through message. For this, you have to send EPFOHO UAN ENG (last three letters for language) to 7738299899. Your PF information will be available through message.
If you want information in Hindi language, then you have to send it by writing EPFOHO UAN HIN. This service to know PF balance is available in English, Punjabi, Marathi, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Bengali. For PF balance, it is necessary that your UAN, bank account, PAN and Aadhaar (AADHAR) should be linked.
You can check the balance on your passbook on the website of EPFO. To view the passbook, it is necessary to have a UN number.
Know balance through missed call
Give a missed call to 011-22901406 from your registered mobile number. After this, the details of PF will be received through the message of EPFO. Here also your UAN, PAN and Aadhar link is a must.
You can check PF balance online like this
- Log on to EPFO website. Click on e-passbook at epfindia.gov.in.
- On clicking on e-passbook, a new page will be redirected to passbook.epfindia.gov.in.
- Here you have to fill your User Name (UAN Number), Password and Captcha.
- After filling all the details, you will come to a new page and here you will have to select the member ID.
- Here you will get your EPF balance on e-passbook.
You can also check balance on UMANG app
- Open your UMANG App (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) and click on EPFO.
- You have to click on Employee-centric services on another page.
- Here click on View Passbook. Enter your UAN number and Password (OTP) number. OTP will come to you on your registered mobile number. After this you can check your PF balance.
