Complete process of e-KYC
First of all you have to visit the official website of EPFO https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/ . Now you have to login by entering your 12 digit UAN number, password and captcha code.
After login a new page will open. A green bar will appear at the top of the page, in which you will see ‘Manage’ written. After clicking on Manage, you will see some options, in which one option will also be of KYC. You have to click on KYC.
After clicking on KYC, a new page will open on your screen, where you will see many options. Now fill in the details of all the documents you have by clicking on the check box in front of them. Keep in mind that it is mandatory to fill the details of Aadhar, Bank and PAN card.
After filling all the details, you have to click on the save button at the bottom. After clicking on save all your details will be sent to your employer for approval. After which your employer will approve it and your KYC details will be updated successfully.
What is the benefit of E-KYC
There are many benefits of updating KYC of EPF account and if you do not do this then you will have to face many problems. If you have not updated the KYC of your EPF account, then you cannot avail various online services related to your EPF account. You can neither withdraw money from your PF account nor file e-nominal without updating KYC. Apart from this, you cannot even transfer your PF account.
