Nomination in EPF
When a member changes his job, his member ID changes and the new ID gets linked to the UAN. However, to use the online services, the employees have to activate their UAN. At the same time, it is also necessary to put nomination in EPF, so that the family does not have to face any problem. In this case, the nomination details must be updated in EPF.
How to update EPF nomination
- Go to EPFO website epfindia.gov.in.
- Login with UAN and Password.
- Select e-Nomination under Manage Tab.
- Provide Details tab will appear on the screen. Click Save.
- Click on Yes to update the family declaration.
- Click on Add Family Details. (More than one nominee can also be added.)
- Click on Nomination Details to declare the total amount of shares. Click on Save EPF Nomination.
- Click on e-sign to generate OTP. Submit the OTP sent to the mobile number linked with Aadhaar.
