The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has informed that the Pension Payment Order and Universe Account Number can be easily downloaded through DigiLocker.
New Delhi. Staff is good news for subscribers of Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). They can now download UAN card, Pension Payment Order (PPO) and Scheme Certificate from Digilocker. EPFO has said that now Pension Payment Order (PPO) and Universal Account Number (UAN) will be available on Government’s e-locker service Digilocker. After this EPFO subscribers can download their UAN and PPO from Digilocker itself.
This move of EPFA will help lakhs of pensioners and PF members to download their documents on time and avail proper benefits.
What is UAN and PPO?
UAN is very important for salaried employees, as employees track their Employee Provident Fund (EPF) accounts. At the same time, PPO is a 12 digit unique number, with the help of which it is easy for pensioners to get pension. Explain that the PPO number is very much needed by the pensioners while submitting the life certificate every year.

What is Digilocker?
Digilocker is a government app of the central government, in which you can store scanned copies of all your documents. Through this, you can access your documents anywhere when needed. To open your account on this app, you have to provide 12 digit Aadhaar number.
How to Access UAN or PPO Number on Digilocker
>> For this first you have to go to https://digilocker.gov.in/ website.
>> On this website you have to click on ‘Sign In’ option.
>> In the next step, you will have to enter Aadhar Number and Username.
>> After entering this number, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. After filling this OTP, you have to click on the ‘Submit’ button.
>> In the next step you have to enter a 6 digit security pin and click on ‘Submit’ button.
>> After this click on the option of ‘Issued Documents’.
>> Now a new page will open. On this page ‘Get more issued documents’ will be given, on which you have to click.
>> Click on ‘Employees Provident Fund Organization’ under the ‘Central Government’ tab.
>> A new page will open on your screen. Here you have to click on UAN and enter your UAN number. After that click on ‘Get Document’.
>> By doing this your data will be saved in the issue document section. From here you can download your UAN card.
How to use Digilocker
You can visit the Digilocker website or download the app on your smartphone. With the help of OTP through your Aadhaar number and registered mobile number, you can generate your user ID.
If any organization has submitted your e-document, then you can access it from here.
You can also do e-sign by submitting your own document.
