Addl. According to the Central PF Commissioner (HRM) Uma Mandal, if an employee has a non-Covid death i.e. natural death, then his family will get double the Ex-gratia Death Relief Fund. This amount is uniform for every employee of the Board. An arrangement has been made for this amount in the Welfare Fund.

According to Uma Mandal, the amount of Ex-gratia Death Relief Fund has been increased from Rs 4.20 lakh to Rs 8 lakh. This amount has been increased with the approval of Central Provident Fund Commissioner / President, Central Staff Welfare Committee and Employees’ Provident Fund. Now on the death of the employee, his family member or nominee will be given this amount from the Ex-gratia Death Relief Fund.

According to Uma Mandal, if any employee of the Central Board has died due to Covid, then the order of 28 April 2020 will be considered in this case. The board has issued this order to all the heads of the Regional Staff Welfare Committees. Also, it has been implemented with immediate effect.



Along with this, if a private sector employee coming under the purview of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) in Haryana dies of corona, then the dependent family will be given monthly financial assistance under the Kovid-19 relief scheme. 90 percent of the average daily wage of the deceased insured employee will be given to the dependents every month.

This benefit will be given to the wife of the deceased for life or till the second marriage, to the son till the age of 25 and to the daughter till the marriage. The minimum relief will be Rs 1,800 per month. Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, who is handling the Labor and Employment Department, said this while giving checks of assistance to the dependents of the deceased insured employees on Tuesday.
