For the financial year 2021-22, the interest rate on EPF deposits was proposed to be reduced to 8.1 percent from 8.5 percent in the previous financial year.
new Delhi. The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization or EPFO on Saturday reduced the EPF interest rate from 8.5 percent to 8.1 percent, giving a jolt to crores of salaried employees. This is the lowest interest rate in the last four decades. If you are employed then you can check your PF balance sitting at home by the below mentioned methods.
Through missed call,
you can give a missed call on 011-22901406 from your registered mobile number. After this a message will be received from EPFO, in which the details of your PF account will be found. This call has to be sent from the registered mobile number of UAN.
If your UAN is registered with EPFO through SMS,
then your latest contribution and PF balance information can be received from the message. For this you have to send EPFOHO UAN ENG to 7738299899. The last three letters are for language. If you want information in Hindi then you can send it by writing EPFOHO UAN HIN. This SMS has to be sent from the registered mobile number of UAN.
Through EPFO website
- For this you have to go to EPFA website.
- Click on Employee Centric Services here.
- Now click on View Passbook.
- To view passbook, login with UAN.
Via Umang App
- Open your UMANG App (UMANG) and click on EPFO.
- Now click on Employee Centric Services.
- Click on the View Passbook option here.
- Enter your UAN number and Password (OTP) number.
- OTP will come on the registered mobile number.
- After entering OTP, you can check your PF balance.
