For this, you can transfer the balance of your previous EPF account to the new one.
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) issues a Universal Account Number (UAN) number to every employee who is registered with it. In such a situation, if you give your UAN number to your new employer or company while changing jobs, then it is expected that they will merge your new EPF account with the previous EPF account through this number and your provident fund balance will be transferred. Will go. But if you have forgotten to do so or your new employer has applied for a new UAN, then how will you consolidate all your EPF accounts?
If your new employer has opened a new UAN for you, then now you have to merge all your previous UANs with this new one. With this, the balance of your different EPF will come at one place. For this whole process, it is necessary for your UAN to be active on the Member Sewa portal of EPFO.
Now that your UAN number is active, first of all go to the Member Services portal and click on the Online Services tab. On this you will see the link of One Member One EPF. By clicking on it, you can generate transfer request to merge your different EPF.
When you click on One Member One EPF, you will see your personal details on the screen. Along with this, the EPF account opened by your existing employer will also be visible. First check whether your employer has transferred your PF from the previous employer or not, if not then you can go ahead with it.
To transfer the old EPF account, you will have to get attestation from your previous or current employer. You can get an attestation letter from your existing employer to complete the process faster. After this, you have to give information about your old PF account or UAN and then click on Get Details. After this you start seeing the information of all your previous EPF accounts.
After the transfer request is generated, the OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number and after submitting the OTP, your request is submitted. After this, its request reaches your existing employer, after which EPFO starts the process of transferring your previous EPF accounts. To merge all the old EPF accounts into one, you have to generate separate transfer requests for each account. Not only this, you can also do its online tracking.
