EPFO interest for FY 2023-24: Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) decides the interest rate for the provident fund every year. In February 2024, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization had increased the interest rate for the financial year 2023-24 to 8.25 percent compared to last year (8.15 percent). Now the question of EPF members is that when will the EPF interest be credited to their account for the financial year 2023-24?

In response to a question on social media platform It is further said in this post that when the interest is credited, the entire amount will be credited to the account to ensure that no member suffers any interest loss.
According to a report, interest worth Rs 28.17 crore was deposited in the accounts of members for the financial year 2022-23 till March 2024.
How to check EPF balance? (How to check EPF balance?)
EPF members can check their account balance through four methods.
Umang App (UMANG App )
First of all download and install Umang App in your phone.
After this, register by entering your mobile number.
After this, select EPFO from the options given in front.
Now tap on View Passbook option.
Now enter your Universal Account Number (UAN) and request OTP.
After this enter OTP and then click on Login to view passbook and balance.
EPFO Portal:
First of all go to the official website of EPFO and then go to the Employee section.
After this click on Member Passbook option.
Then enter UAN and password to access your passbook and check balance.
Missed call:
Registered UAN holders can give a missed call on the number 011-22901406.
After this you will get an SMS, which will contain your latest EPF balance.
SMS:
To know your EPF balance through SMS, enter ‘EPFOHO UAN ENG’ on number 7738299899.
To know the balance in other languages, enter the first three letters of your language instead of ENG, like MAR for Marathi.
