Interest money can reach the account of EPFO ​​​​members by July. For this, an official notification can be issued by the Finance Ministry soon.

Let us tell you that the Central Board of Trustees, the highest decision making body of EPFO, approved the interest rate of 8.25% for FY 24 in February, but the formal notification is still awaited by the Finance Ministry. If sources are to be believed, it has been delayed due to the general elections. Now this work is likely to be completed by July.

How will you know that the money has arrived?

If you keep checking the passbook of your EPF account, you will know whether your EPF interest money has arrived or not. You can check the EPF passbook through EPFO ​​Portal through facilities like Missed Call or SMS.

1. How to check passbook on EPFO ​​Portal

Step 1- First of all you go to EPFO ​​Portal https://www.epfindia.gov.in/site_en/index.php. For this, you should have your UAN (Universal Account Number) activated.

Step 2- When the site opens, go to the ‘Our Services’ tab and then select the drop-down menu ‘for employees’.

Step 3- Click on ‘member passbook’ under the service column.

Step 4- On the next page, you will have to enter your UAN and Password. Enter the captcha and log in.

Step 5- After logging in, enter the member ID. After this your EPF balance will be visible.

2. How to check EPF passbook through missed call

You can also check your EPF balance by giving a missed call to 011- 22901406. On calling, you will receive an SMS, in which your balance will be reflected. For this, you will have to enter the mobile number registered with the EPF account. Along with your PAN and Aadhaar number, your bank account number should also be linked to your UAN.

3. How to check through SMS?

Like the missed call service, here all your important documents should be linked to UAN, only then you will be able to use this service. For this, you will have to SMS EPFOHO UAN ENG (or write the code of the language in which you want the message in place of ENG) to 7738299899.
