Employees covered under Employees’ Provident Fund Organization have a chance that they can get the benefit of insurance up to Rs.7 lakh for their family members. For this they have to file e-nomination. E-nomination is a must for online payment of EPF, EPS and pension. EPFO ensures insurance of Rs 7 lakh for the family of the employees under the Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme (EDLI). If the employee marries, then it is mandatory for him. You will not need any document to get the benefit of this scheme. He can avail of this scheme only on the basis of self-declaration made by the employee.
In this way you can do e-nomination sitting at home
- First of all you have to visit EPFO website https://www.epfindia.gov.in/site_en/index.php .
- After this you have to click on the option of ‘Services’.
- After this you have to click on the option of ‘For Employees’.
- After this you have to log in through your UAN number and password.
- After this you have to click on the option of ‘Manage Tab’.
- After this you have to click on the option of ‘E-Nomination’.
- After this you have to update your family details here.
- You can nominate more than one person here.
- After filling all the details, you have to click on the option of ‘Save EPF Nomination’.
- After this, you have to click on the option of ‘E-Sign’ to generate OTP.
- After this, an OTP will come on your Aadhaar registered mobile number.
- On clicking on the option of ‘Submit’, the process of e-nomination will be completed.
