New Delhi: Many rules have been changed in the country from December 1. Changes have been made in the rules of banking, insurance and international travel from December 1. Along with this, a big change has also been made in the rules for EPF account holders.
Will not be able to withdraw money from the account
- If you have not yet linked your Universal Account Number (UAN) with Aadhaar, then you may have to face a lot of trouble.
- The EPFO had fixed November 30 as the last date for linking the Universal Account Number (UAN) with Aadhaar.
- If you have not linked Aadhaar with UAN within the stipulated time frame, then you will not be able to do many important tasks related to EPF account.
- You cannot withdraw money from your PF account due to non-linking of Aadhaar.
- Apart from this, your employer company will also not be able to deposit its contribution in your PF account.
- At the same time, the PF account holder may also be deprived of the insurance of Rs 7 lakh from EPFO (employees deposit linked insurance).
How to link UAN with Aadhaar
EPFO can also extend the time limit for linking Aadhaar with UAN for account holders. In such a situation, you can link your Aadhaar with UAN by following the following procedure.
- First of all you have to visit https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/ link.
- After this you have to enter UAN and password.
- After this you have to click on the option of KYC in the manage section.
- After that you have to enter the required information here.
- After this, you have to enter your Aadhaar number by selecting the option of Aadhaar.
- After this UIDAI will verify your Aadhaar data.
- After your data is verified, your Aadhaar will be linked with your EPF account.
