Many times EPFO members have to update their accounts, such as changing the name, date of birth or marital status. For this, they have to go to the EPFO office and this also results in loss of work and time. But now this will not happen. They will be able to get the information related to their account updated online. This information has been given by EPFO itself.
Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is one of the largest social security organizations in the world in terms of the number of members and the number of financial transactions. Currently it has more than 7.5 crore members. All these members actively contribute to provident fund, pension and insurance schemes every month.
However, many times EPFO members have to update their accounts, such as changing the name, date of birth or marital status. For this, they have to go to the EPFO office and this also results in loss of work and time. But now this will not happen. How will the updating work be done
EPFO said on Saturday that now Provident Fund (PF) members can apply online for change or correction in their data. Also, documents related to it can also be uploaded online.
EPFO has launched a new software on its website. This robust computer software application validates the member’s data in the Universal Account Number (UAN). Through this, PF members can update or correct the name, gender, date of birth, parent’s name, marital status, nationality and Aadhaar etc. in their profile.
