EPFO New Rule: In case of emergency, you can withdraw 1 lakh rupees from PF account in one hour, know the whole process

EPFO New Rule: According to the new PF rule, account holders will not have to wait for three to seven days to withdraw money from their PF account, but now PF money will come in your account within an hour.



EPFO New Rule: New Delhi: Now you can withdraw money from your PF account in any emergency. In view of the problems faced by the people during the Corona period, the Central Government has changed the rules of Provident Fund (EPF).

According to the new PF rule, account holders will not have to wait for three to seven days to withdraw money from their PF account, but now PF money will come in your account within an hour.

So that PF money can be used, the central government has changed the rules of PF, so that in case of emergency, PF money can be useful to you. 1 lakh can be withdrawn from Employees’ Provident Fund in Advance PF balance.

It can be removed in any kind of medical emergency. To avail this service you just need to show the cost you are withdrawing due to emergency.

Bill will not have to be paid in medical emergency

It is to be known that earlier also PF money could be withdrawn from EPFO at the time of medical emergency. You used to get this after paying the medical bill, but this medical advance is different from the earlier service. In this you do not have to pay any kind of bill. All you have to do is to apply and the money will be transferred to your account.

To withdraw money in emergency, first you go to www.epfindia.gov.in. Under the COVID-19 tab on the home page, go to the top right corner and click on Online Advance Claim. From here go to online services and claim (Form-31,19,10C and 10D). Then enter the last 4 digits of your bank account and confirm. After this, you have to click on Proceed for Online Claim. Now select PF Advance from the drop down (Form 31).


After that choose your reason. Now enter the amount you want to withdraw and upload the scanned copy of the check and enter your address. After this, click on Get Aadhaar OTP and type the OTP received on the Aadhaar linked mobile. In this way your claim will be filed.
