It has been said in the circular that ex gratia death relief fund has been created to help the family members of the employee in case of sudden death. In the circular issued by the EPFO, it has been said that the nominee of the deceased employee will be given double the amount.

Till now this amount was Rs 4.20 lakh for the nominee. The amount received after this order has been increased to Rs 8 lakh.
