EPFO Higher Pension: A new update has come on this from the government. This decision has been given keeping in mind the convenience of the employees. The deadline for applying for higher pension on behalf of EPFO has been extended to 26 June.

If you also want to get more pension than before, then its date has been extended by the government. A new update has come on this from the government. This decision has been given keeping in mind the convenience of the employees. The deadline for applying for higher pension on behalf of EPFO has been extended to 26 June.
Will be able to apply till June 26
In a statement issued by EPFO, it was said that the deadline ending on May 3 has been extended to June 26, 2023. After this decision of EPFO, eligible employees will now be able to submit their application online till June 26 to get more pension. EPFO had asked the existing shareholders and retired employees to apply online by May 3, 2023, following the Supreme Court’s pension decision of November 4, 2022.
Some conditions were also kept for more pension.
In its important decision, the court had said that EPFO should give an opportunity to existing and former subscribers to opt for higher pension. Some conditions were also laid down by EPFO to opt for higher pension. Several representatives of employee organizations had requested the EPFO to extend the deadline. Keeping this in mind, it has been decided to extend the deadline for applying online for higher pension till June 26.
Can apply in both ways
EPFO said that the last date has been extended after considering the demands received from the employees, employers and their organizations. With this, pensioners and existing shareholders will get enough time to apply. You can apply for EPFO’s Adhik Pension Yojana both online and offline.
How to apply for more pension
To take advantage of the scheme, employees will have to go to the nearest EPFO office. There you will have to fill the application along with the necessary documents. Or you can also apply for it online. At present, a limit of Rs 15,000 per month has been fixed for contribution to EPS. Even if your basic salary is Rs 50,000, your EPS contribution is Rs 1,250 based on a salary of Rs 15,000.
