EPFO pensioners can upload life certificate from home, EPFO ​​told step by step process

Life certificate: According to EPFO, in the last financial year, more than 6.6 lakh pensioners have submitted their life certificate through this route.

Life certificate: Life Certificate is a program started by the Government of India for the convenience of pensioners. It was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 10, 2014. With the help of life certificate, the pension of retired employees keeps coming easily. You have to submit this certificate every year. Now the government has made this process even easier and started taking digital life certificate. According to the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), now you can submit life certificate with the help of your mobile sitting at home.

EPFO ​​told the step by step process

EPFO ​​has told the step by step process of submitting digital life certificate on social media platform X. According to EPFO, you should have a mobile phone with 5 megapixel front camera and internet. Your Aadhaar number should be registered. After this you have to download Jeevan Pramaan Face App and Aadhaar Face RD from Google Play Store. After this you have to scan your face and fill all the details. Also, you have to submit all the details by taking a photo with the front camera. In this way, your life certificate will be deposited without visiting any bank or post office.

More than 6.6 lakh pensioners have adopted this path

According to government data, there are about 78 lakh pensioners in the country at present. Out of these, more than 6.6 lakh pensioners have submitted digital life certificate in the financial year 2023-24. According to EPFO, in the financial year 2022-23, 2.1 lakh people had submitted life certificate in this way. This figure has jumped by more than 200 percent annually. Before the arrival of this technology, all of them had to go to the banks. However, you still have the option to submit this certificate by going to the Common Service Center and government office.
