EPFO added 12.83 lakh subscribers in June 2021. There has been an increase of 5.09 lakh in the number of subscribers in June as compared to May.
New Delhi. According to the new data released by the Employee Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), the employment situation in the country is gradually improving. Actually, EPFO added 12.83 lakh subscribers in June 2021.
The Labor Ministry said in a statement that the EPFO temporary salary account data released on Friday shows a trend of growth with a net addition of 12.83 lakh subscribers to the pay register during June 2021.

comparison to May According to the statement, there was a net increase of 5.09 lakhs in the total number of subscribers in June as compared to May. Out of the net added 12.83 lakh members in June, around 8.11 lakh have come under the social security cover of the Employees’ Provident Fund scheme for the first time. During the month, about 4.73 people left the EPFO but then rejoined the EPFO by taking jobs in those companies which come under EPFO.
During the month, the maximum number of youths in the age group of 18 to 25 years were associated with the provident fund. Of the total new members, 6.15 lakh were from this age group, which was 47.89 percent of the total members. After this, the maximum 2.55 lakh newly joined members were from the age group of 29 to 35 years.
During the month of June, if we talk about men and women, then in June, a net 2.56 lakh women came in the salary register of EPFO. This number is 79 thousand more than in May. The highest number of employees joining the wage register were from Maharashtra, Haryana, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Maximum 7.78 lakh members participated from these states. This is 60.61 percent of the members of all age groups.
