EPFO released new update
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has made changes to the document list for joint declaration to correct mistakes in the UAN profiles of members and employers.
According to EPFO’s SOP revised notification dated March 11, 2024, the applicant can now submit Aadhaar card in the name of the member’s father/mother, PAN card, 10th or 12th marksheet in the name of the father/mother and driving license while applying.
How will be the UAN profile?
UAN profile can be corrected by updating the date of birth, father/mother name, Aadhaar number, marital status, member name and gender information.
However, the question arises that what documents can be submitted to correct these information.
These documents can be submitted on change of marital status
- Government issued marriage certificate
- Aadhar card
- Passport
- Divorce decree
Submit these documents in case of change in name and gender
- Aadhaar card (required)
- Passport
- Birth certificate
- Death certificate
- Driving license
Service photo identity card issued by Central Government/State Government/Union Territory Government.
You can submit these documents to correct your date of birth
- Passport
- PAN card
- Government issued residence certificate
- Birth certificate issued by the Registrar of Births and Deaths.
- Marksheet issued by a recognized government board or university
- Certificate showing name and date of birth
- Medical certificate in the absence of proof of date of birth
