EPFO is preparing to fully implement the PF scheme in all the local bodies in UP soon. A decision regarding this can be taken in the EPFO meeting to be held on December 22. In this meeting, along with the regional committee of EPFO, Additional Chief Secretary Labor will also attend.
Kanpur . Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is soon preparing to implement 100% PF scheme in all the bodies of UP. A meeting of board members and Additional Chief Secretary Labor is going to be held with EPFO Commissioner Gautam on 22 December to take a decision on this decision. In this meeting, along with taking a decision in this regard, there can be talk about making a policy.
Many bodies reached the court in protest
EPFO is engaged in implementing 100% PF scheme in the bodies. At the same time, many bodies have reached the court in protest against this. In the meeting, a decision can be taken in the board meeting regarding the implementation of PF scheme in contract workers, contract employees, municipal corporations, municipalities, nagar panchayats as well as policy making in court cases.
In the first phase, 1 lakh employees will be able to take advantage of PF scheme
If the PF scheme is implemented in all the bodies, in the first phase, about 1 lakh employees will be able to take direct benefit of the scheme. Although there are 22 lakh members of EPFO in the state at present, but the number of active accounts is 12 thousand.
After retirement, there may be a decision regarding pension
Decisions will also be taken to give pension papers along with final accounts to all the members under the Prayas scheme on the day of retirement in the board meeting to be held on December 22 after two years. Along with this, many other proposals can be discussed in the meeting.
