The pension will be credited to their bank account on the last working day of the month. Pensioners complained that the amount of pension in their account is usually put very late at the beginning of the month. This causes them a lot of trouble.
EPFO has issued a circular keeping in mind this problem of pensioners. According to media reports, now such measures have been taken through which pensioners will get pension in all the months except March before the end of the month. They will not have to wait for pension.
Money will be deposited in the accounts on the last working day
Now the amount of pension will be deposited in the account of pensioners (EPS Pensioners) on the last working day of the month. Till now the pension was deposited at the beginning of the month. Many times the pension amount comes very late in the account of pensioners due to holiday or any other reason. The Pension Division has reviewed the matter and in accordance with the directions of Reserve Bank of India (RBI), it has been decided that all field offices may send monthly information to the banks in such a manner that the pension will be credited to the pensioners’ account at the end of the month other than March. It should be deposited on or before working day. Pension will not be deposited in the accounts on the last working day in March. It will be deposited on or after 1st April.
Were receiving complaints
The EPFO said that the Pension Division was receiving complaints about not getting the pension on time. Keeping these complaints in mind, orders have now been given to deposit the pension amount. Along with this, instructions have also been given that banks should give this amount a maximum of 2 days before the day the bank transfers money to the pensioners’ account.
