Keeping in mind the need of such unemployed, the Central Government has decided that between March and December this year, unemployed allowance will be given to those who are unemployed. The Union Labor Ministry has announced this. According to the ministry, the government will get unemployment allowance for three months. The allowance will start getting within 15 days of leaving the job.
Union Labor Minister Santosh Gangwar has said that ESIC will settle the unemployment benefit claim within 15 days. 50% of the average salary for three months will be claimed. This year, the payment under unemployment benefit has doubled from 24 March to 31 December.
The government is extending this benefit to the unemployed under the Atal Insured Persons Welfare Scheme. Workers who are registered under Employee State Insurance Corporation ie ESIC will be given an allowance.
How to apply: To get unemployment allowance, you have to register. You can download the Atal Insured Welfare Scheme form by visiting the Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) website. The form has to be filled and submitted to your nearest ESIC branch.
