Even after ID proof, loan of 10 thousand will be available, government changed the rules

During the lockdown, Prime Minister Narendra Modi started a self-sufficient campaign. In this campaign, efforts are being made to increase or expand business by giving loans to different sectors.

In this campaign of the government, there are also those who run street-shops, carts or roadside shops. The government has launched the Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana for about 50 lakh people of this class. Now a new exemption has been given in the scheme.

Under the new rules of the central government, now street vendors without ID proof can also apply for loan. For this, the government has introduced a letter of recommendation (LoR) system.

Durga Shankar Mishra, secretary of the Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry, said that an eligible street-dwelling local urban body can request for a letter of recommendation. Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana has been started for shopkeepers on roadside carts.



Under this, the pledges and Khomche people can take loans up to Rs 10,000. This loan will have to be repaid in monthly installments in a year. Mishra said that after obtaining the LOR under the scheme, the shopkeepers of the contract can apply for the loan.

According to the ministry, this module is designed to facilitate street vendors who do not have identity card (ID) and sales certificate (COV). This is also for those whose names are not included in the survey list for availing benefits under this scheme.

On the PM Swanidhi portal, online application will have to be made to get LOR from local urban bodies. For this, a vendor must have any one of the following documents.



These are documents- Certificate of lump sum assistance given by some states / union territories during the lockdown period or membership details of vendor associations or any document that proves that he is a seller.

In addition, a vendor can request the local urban body through a simple application on plain paper to ascertain the genuineness of his claim by investigation. The local body will have to dispose of the LOR issue within a period of 15 days.

According to the statement, sellers who have LORs will be issued a certificate of vending / identity card within a period of 30 days.



Maximum beneficiaries will get benefit of the scheme from this provision. So far, over 4.45 lakh applications have been received and more than 82,000 have been accepted.
