Exit Polls 2022: Exit Polls Say There Can Be Change In Punjab. AAP can form government here for the first time. At the same time, the path of BJP seems to be difficult in Uttarakhand and Goa.

Uttar Pradesh was the most discussed in the assembly elections of five states. From common voters to politicians and political analysts, the question that remained in the minds of the BJP is whether the BJP will return to the state. …and with how many seats if it came back? This was assessed in the exit polls after the last phase of polling on Monday. In 10 out of 12 exit polls, the BJP was clearly shown to get a majority. At the same time, in one of the remaining two exit polls, the SP has claimed to form the government and the second poll has predicted a close contest between the BJP-SP.

Amar Ujala tried to work out the ‘Poll of Polls’ on the basis of the average of the exit polls of the five states. Before talking about other states including Uttar Pradesh, let us know what the ‘Poll of Poles’ are saying…

Where, with whom, with whom?

  • This time in Uttar Pradesh, the main contest was between the BJP and the Samajwadi Party.
  • At the same time, BJP and Congress were face to face in Uttarakhand. Here the Aam Aadmi Party tried to make the contest triangular.
  • Talking about Punjab, there was a contest between Congress, Aam Aadmi Party, SAD-BSP alliance, BJP-Lok Congress Party alliance.
  • In Goa, apart from Congress, BJP, TMC, AAP, Shiv Sena and NCP came together in the fray.
  • Like the rest of the states, there was a contest between the BJP and the Congress in Manipur.

1. Uttar Pradesh

According to the Uttar Pradesh Poll of Exit Polls, BJP can return to power in Uttar Pradesh. In the 2017 assembly elections, the BJP alliance had got 325 seats, while this time it seems to be reducing by about 100 seats. In 10 out of 12 exit polls, the BJP government is seen to be formed, while only one poll shows the Samajwadi Party getting a majority. The BJP seems to be winning an average of 238 seats in the state.

2. Punjab

According to the Punjab Poll of Exit Polls, there is a strong possibility of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) getting majority in Punjab. It is projected to get 70+ seats. The ruling Congress has been claimed to get only 22-25 seats in the state. In Punjab, only one out of 10 exit polls showed Congress getting an absolute majority. At the same time, in one he was told close to forming the government. However, in the remaining eight exit polls, the Aam Aadmi Party has been predicted to be at the fore. Out of these, AAP has been shown absolute majority in five.

3. Uttarakhand

In Uttarakhand, a close contest can be seen between the Congress and the ruling BJP. The BJP is getting an average of 34 seats in the 70-seat assembly. That is, the road to the formation of the BJP government for the second consecutive time in the state is difficult. At the same time, Congress seems to be stronger this time than last time. Six out of 11 exit polls show Congress ahead of BJP. In two of these, the Congress is expected to get a majority. The condition of other parties in Uttarakhand is being judged very bad. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been shown to get only one seat in the exit polls, while others including the BSP have been restricted to two-three seats.

4. Goa

The exit polls of Goa have been released, it is clear that in this state with 40 assembly seats, there can be a tough fight between the BJP and the Congress. In two of the nine exit polls, the BJP has shown an edge, while the Congress is leading in seven polls. In one of these polls, the Congress has been shown to exceed the majority mark. On the other hand, Maharashtra Gomantak Party (MGP) and Aam Aadmi Party seem to be emerging as kingmakers in Goa. While MGP is expected to get three-five seats, AAP may get one to four seats. Significantly, the majority figure in this state is 21 seats.

5. Manipur

According to the Manipur Poll of Exit Polls, the ruling BJP in Manipur is on the way to form the government again. At the same time, the Congress may have to be satisfied with only about half the seats as compared to the BJP. Some polls have predicted that the BJP will become the single largest party, but will stay away from the majority figure. In such a situation, other political parties including NPF-NPP can play an important role in forming a stable government in the state.
