The days of free travel on the Bundelkhand Expressway are about to end. Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) will soon issue tender for toll collection on the expressway. It is believed that by the end of this month, toll collection will start from the drivers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this expressway on 16 July 2022. Bundelkhand Expressway Toll is tax free since its inauguration.
Starting near Bharatkup of Chitrakoot, the Bundelkhand Expressway goes up to Etawah. From here it meets Yamuna Expressway connecting with Agra Lucknow Expressway. With the construction of this expressway, now Chitrakoot can be reached from Delhi in just 8 hours. There are a total of 6 toll plazas and 7 ramp plazas on this expressway.
Chitrakoot to Delhi now in 8 hours
It has become easy to reach Delhi from Chitrakoot via Bundelkhand Expressway. Earlier it used to take 12 to 13 hours to travel from Chitrakoot to Delhi. But with the construction of expressway, now this time has reduced to just 8 hours. The 296.07 kilometer long Bundelkhand Expressway meets the Agra-Lucknow Expressway via Chitrakoot, Banda, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Auraiya and Etawah.
How much will be the toll rates
To go to Delhi via Bundelkhand Expressway, four wheelers like car, jeep etc. are estimated to have toll tax of about Rs 610 (Bundelkhand Expressway toll price). At the same time, toll tax of about Rs 935 can be collected from buses, trucks and heavy vehicles, while toll tax of Rs 665 can be collected from light commercial vehicles. Rs 1935 will have to be paid as toll tax for the operation of buses or trucks on the expressway. At the same time, Rs 2965 will have to be paid as tax for taking the machines used in heavy construction work through the expressway.
