The new Fastag implemented by the Road Transport Ministry from January 31 onwards will prove costly for the drivers.

What are those 5 mistakes

1. Instead of applying Fastag, drivers keep it in the dashboard and after reaching the toll plaza, take it out and keep it outside, due to which it takes time. Drivers waiting in line behind have to wait. This is why these drivers do not put the Fastag on the windscreen and keep it inside, they think that they might be able to do some trick in some toll plaza and avoid paying toll. Action will also be taken against such drivers.
2. Some vehicles have two Fastags each. Among these, one is old which has become useless and the other is new. Even in this way, the card reader takes time to read the Fastag. Many times the toll worker has to read the card manually. Penalty can also be imposed on such people.
3. One Fastag is being used in two vehicles each. First of all, this is a violation of the orders of the Reserve Bank. Apart from this, if Fastag is for a car, the car number is recorded in it. If you put this Fastag on a commercial vehicle, then the card reader machine at the toll plaza takes the toll of the small vehicle on the basis of its number. Although the number appears on the toll screen, but if the toll personnel cannot see it, the vehicle passes. In this way revenue is being lost. Penalty can also be taken from such vehicle drivers. After January 31, penalty will be taken from such vehicles by the Road Transport Ministry.
4. Fastag of old vehicle should not be used even in new vehicle. Even if people are using small vehicles, the database of vehicles may be wrongly prepared or another vehicle will be crossing at toll and another vehicle will be crossing on Fastag. Action can be taken against these also.
5. Cloning of Fastag is also done. Therefore, buy Fastag only from authorized sellers. Such Fastags will be declared fake in toll plazas and penalty will have to be paid.
