Maharashtra Home Minister gave hints of questioning Karan
On Sunday, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had said in a statement that Mahesh Bhatt and Karan Johar’s manager would be questioned in the Sushant Suicide case. He also said that Karan Johar himself could also be asked to be present if needed. However, the police have not called Karan’s manager, but his company’s CEO Apoorva Mehta for questioning. 38 people have been questioned so far

On Monday (July 27), filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt was questioned for almost 2 hours. Sources said the police questioned Mahesh Bhatt about Sushant and Riya’s relationship. They reached the police station at 12 noon and they were questioned till 2 pm. However, he did not respond to any media queries after exiting the police station.

On July 23, police had called Sushant’s friend and filmmaker Rumi Jaffrey to the police station. Jafri told the police that he had come to know about Sushant being in depression 6 months ago, Riya Chakraborty, the actor’s girlfriend, had told him this.
On July 21, the Mumbai police questioned the film critic and senior journalist Rajiv Masand for over 8 hours. Sushant’s close aides have alleged that Rajiv Masand used to give negative reviews to Sushant’s films. He was also writing a negative blind article against someone at his behest. Sushant was sad and upset about this.
Earlier statements of three psychiatrists and one psychotherapist treating Sushant were recorded. A psychiatrist reported that Sushant was suffering from a disease called bipolar disorder. Yash Raj Films owner and producer Aditya Chopra was questioned by the Mumbai Police at Versova police station. Actually, Sushant had signed three films ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’, ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshi’ and ‘Pani’ with Chopra. But ‘water’ could not be created. Questions and answers were asked about this from Aditya. In it, he said that the film could not be made due to creative differences with director Shekhar Kapur.

Sushant had left four films of Sanjay Leela Bhansali for ‘Pani’. This was revealed by Bhansali in a statement to the police. He said, “The four films I offered to Sushant were ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ramlila’, ‘Bajirao-Mastani’, ‘Reid’ (which was not made) and ‘Padmavat’.
