On the other hand, the government is also saying that it is not in a position to take any more loan. The central government will take a loan of Rs 12 lakh crore in the current financial year.

Finance Minister Sitharaman has also given strict instructions to big government companies to increase capex (capital expenditure). He has said that large PSU companies should complete 75% of planned capital expenditure by December 2020. This will help reduce the ill effects of Corona (Covid-19) on the country’s economy. In an online meeting with the Secretaries of the Ministry of Coal, Petroleum, Natural Gas and the Chairman and Managing Directors of the 14 PSU companies attached to them, he appealed for speedy working on capital schemes.
