Finance Ministry has issued a warning, Do not use ChatGPT and DeepSeek, check details

The Finance Ministry has issued a warning regarding the use of DeepSeek, an app that has created a buzz in the field of artificial intelligence. Earlier, other countries of the world have also advised not to use DeepSeek and ChatGPT. What is the reason for this?

China’s artificial intelligence tool DeepSeek is becoming increasingly popular around the world. After its launch last month, this application also made headlines by leaving behind giants like ChatGPT in terms of popularity. However, many countries of the world including India do not seem confident about this Chinese company. The Government of India has recently issued a warning regarding the use of apps like DeepSeek and ChatGPT. The Union Finance Ministry has advised its employees not to use such AI tools for official work.

News agency Reuters has given this information citing the department’s internal advisory. The government has cited many risks behind this move. According to the government, there are many threats to the confidentiality of government documents and data due to the use of these apps. According to the information, this advisory given on January 29 has come to the fore through social media on Tuesday. The advice of the Union Finance Ministry states that AI tools and AI apps (such as ChatGPT, DeepSeek etc.) in office computers and other devices pose a risk to the confidentiality of data and documents. However, it is not clear whether other ministries of the central government have also issued similar instructions.

Earlier, many countries of the world have imposed similar restrictions on the use of DeepSeek citing data security risks and have also warned about it. Last week, Taiwan ordered all its government agencies not to use the technology of Chinese artificial intelligence startup DeepSeek, citing security reasons. At the same time, the offices of the US Congress have also been warned against installing the Chinese AI app DeepSeek. Britain has also issued a similar warning to its citizens.
