Flight Booking New Rules: There is good news for air passengers. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Monday gave some guidelines related to all airlines passengers. According to this, now whenever you book a ticket of any airline, you will be given complete information about your rights and facilities through SMS or WhatsApp.
That’s why DGCA took this step
According to the instructions of DGCA, all airlines will have to ensure that immediately after ticket booking, the online link of the passenger charter available on the website of the Ministry of Civil Aviation will have to be sent through SMS or WhatsApp. This link will contain all the information related to the rights of passengers to rules and grievance redressal.
DGCA has also told that this information related to the rights of passengers should also be prominently mentioned on the airline’s website and ticket. This will give detailed information about the rules related to baggage, what the air travellers will have to do for refund in case of flight delay or cancellation, and many other important things will also be mentioned.
