Motorola might be trying to keep everyone hyped up about its upcoming smartphone by teasing it on social media along with the Flipkart listing page, but Flipkart might have just spoiled the entire hype with a single phrase in the listing page’s URL. The Flipkart website listing that Motorola has been pointing everyone towards to keep them guessing, clearly states ‘Moto G9’. Yep, that’s the ‘something big’ which Motorola has been teasing all this while. The smartphone, as per the official teasers will launch on August 24 (12PM IST). Although the URL states Moto G9, it is not for sure if there will be just one phone or the entire series.

Spotted on Geekbench, Motorola’s upcoming Moto G9 Play will sport a 6.2-inch display. The phone will run on a Qualcomm processor clocked at 1.8GHz. The processor is likely to be from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600-series. The phone is said to have 4GB of RAM. According to the benchmark listing, Motorola G9 Play will run on Android 10 out-of-the-box.
Moto G9 Plus is supposed to pack a 4,700mAh battery coupled with 30W fast charging support. The phone will also be available in multiple options as XT2087-1 and XT2087-2 model numbers were sighted. Based on rumours so far, Moto G9 Plus will ship with Android 10 out-of-the-box. It is expected to come with a price tag of EUR 277 (Rs 24,000 approximately). The phone is rumoured to come with 4GB of RAM and 128GB storage. There are likely to be more RAM and storage options for the phone.
