While bidding farewell to Flipkart, he also dropped a hint about his future plans
Global retail giant Walmart acquired 77 percent stake of Flipkart but the company’s co founder and executive chairman Sachin Bansal was nowhere to be seen.
Although as part of the deal, he will no longer be part of Flipkart, his attachment with the e-commerce company came to the fore when he posted a farewell message on his Facebook account.
On his Facebook page, he wrote: “Flipkart truly upheld audacity and customer centricity and I got to work with the best people. We took on some of the biggest challenges and solved many complex problems for india. Sadly my work here is done and after 10 years, it’s time to hand over the baton and move on from Flipkart. But I’ll be watching and cheering from the outside — Flipsters, you better continue to do a good job!”
While bidding farewell to Flipkart, he also dropped a hint about his future plans.
“I’ll be taking some long time off and focus on finishing a few personal projects which I haven’t been able to find time for. Will catch up on gaming (and see what kids are playing these days) and brush up on my coding skills.”
Finally sharing his experience and time in Flipkart he sent his good wishes, “I will always cherish the relationships I’ve built and amazing experiences I’ve had. Wishing all the best to the whole team.”
Several Flipkart employees shared this post from Sachin Bansal’s Facebook account even though he was largely missing in action after the news of the deal broke out. They are wishing Bansal all the best for his future endeavours.
