Free LPG Cylinder: A big good news has come for the people of Uttar Pradesh. The Yogi government in the state has made preparations to give a special gift to 1.86 crore people before Holi. CM Yogi will distribute gas cylinder refill subsidy to eligible families in Lucknow. On the festival of Holi, the Yogi government has given the gift of free cylinder to the beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana.
The festival of Holi is very close. In such a situation, the Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh has given a big gift to the people of the state. The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has announced to give free gas cylinders to the beneficiaries under the Ujjwala scheme. For this, the state government has approved an amount of three billion rupees, so that more and more women beneficiaries can get the benefit of this scheme. There are more than 1.85 crore beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana in Uttar Pradesh. In such a situation, now these beneficiaries can avail the benefit of gas cylinder refill for free.
Let us tell you that under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, LPG cylinders have been given to women beneficiaries for free. After this, the BJP had promised to give free cylinder refill to these beneficiaries on Diwali and Holi in its election manifesto.
Crores of families will get benefit
With this step of the Yogi government, 1.86 crore families of the state will get direct benefit of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, gas cylinder refill subsidy will be given to 1.86 crore eligible families of UP with an amount of Rs 1,890 crore. State CM Yogi Adityanath will distribute gas cylinder refill subsidy to the eligible in the Lok Bhavan auditorium in Lucknow. Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, free LPG cylinders are given in the state twice a year on the occasion of Holi and Diwali. Under this, free LPG cylinders are being given before Holi.
A subsidy of Rs 300 is received from the central government
Actually, under the Ujjwala Yojana, the central government gives a subsidy of Rs 300 to the beneficiaries. The rest of the discounts under this scheme are provided by the state government.
Purpose of Ujjwala Yojana
Actually, under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, free LPG gas connections are provided to poor women. So that they can get safe and cheap fuel. The LPG connection given under this scheme protects millions of women from diseases caused by wood, coal or other traditional fuels in the kitchen.
