Free ration distribution for the first phase of October will start from Tuesday. Ration will be distributed simultaneously at 1268 shops of the district as per the Kovid guidelines. According to the last digit of the ration card number, distribution will be done from October 5 to 15. Ration will be given on the basis of OTP on the last day. In 11 days, more than 31 lakh units of 7.40 lakh cards of the district will get five forts of wheat this year.
District Supply Officer Sanjeev Kumar said that ration distribution will start from 6 am on Tuesday. Cardholders will get ration in the presence of nodal officers at 373 shops in urban areas and 895 in rural areas. For distribution of ration, the government has implemented a new system to prevent the spread of corona infection. Under this, in the distribution of ration, the government will distribute ration according to the last digit of the ration card number.
On 5th October, the last digit of the card number is zero, 6 is the last number 1, the 7th is the 2nd, 8 is the last digit 3, 9 is last digit 4, 10 is last digit 5 On 11th the last digit 6 will get ration, 12 will get last digit 7, 13 will get last digit 8 and on 14th October the last digit 9 will get ration. Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, eligible household and Antyodaya card holders will get five kg of wheat per unit. This time rice will not be available for free.
