Gadget Rules For Airports: Traveling during summer holidays? Must know gadget rules for Airports

Gadget Rules For Airports: Summer holidays are about to start. If you are planning to travel with your family and friends, then it is important to know the rules of carrying gadgets at the airport. By understanding these rules, you can avoid problems during check-in and security check at the airport.

Do not keep power banks in check-in luggage.

Power banks, batteries or battery-operated items cannot be kept in large suitcase (check-in luggage). Most airlines and airports want you to keep these in your carry-on luggage. But, you can remove the battery from the device and keep the device in a big suitcase and the battery in a small bag. Additionally, power banks with power greater than 20000mAh or capacity greater than 100Wh cannot be carried on the plane.

Remove laptop, phone and more during security check

During airport security check, laptops, smartphones and other electronic devices have to be kept in separate trays. They are screened. So keep your devices and their charging cables in the tray. Note that certain laptops and smartphones are not allowed on the plane.

Remove smartwatch also

Airports and airlines allow you to keep your smartwatch in your carry-on bag without any hassle, but yes, it will have to be kept in a separate tray at the time of security check.

Take out the speakers too

Carrying TWS earbuds, headphones or portable speakers? These will also have to be kept in a separate tray during airport security check and taken out for screening. Some airports and airlines may also ask to remove the charging cable.

Keep the electric shaver or razor in the luggage bag

Electric shavers and razors are allowed at the airport. You can keep these in your small bag (carry-on) or large suitcase (check-in). However, old-fashioned razor blades and disposable razors whose blades come out separately can only be kept in large suitcases. Note that the airport may also have special rules for these blades, such as their maximum number or size.

Camera equipment also

If you want to carry items like professional cameras and tripods with large lenses, they may have to be checked separately at the airport. However, if your entire camera luggage fits in a large suitcase (check-in) or a small bag (carry-on) with the batteries removed, you may not need a separate check.

E-cigarettes not allowed

Electronic cigarettes are illegal in India, which means you cannot take them with you to the airport. If you are found in possession of these cigarettes, they may be confiscated and you may face legal trouble.
