Shortage of people working in Germany

According to a Mint report, according to the 2023 data of the German Economic Institute, there are about 6 lakh vacancies in Germany. The long time taken in work visa affects the training of skilled workers.
Economy suffers due to non-appointment of workers
The German Economic Institute has also said that Indian companies making big investments in Germany depend on quick visas. Therefore, they are allowed to bring specialists to Germany. The institute has also said that the German economy may suffer a loss of 74 billion euros if the job vacancies are not fulfilled. According to this institute, the Federal Foreign Office has issued 80,000 work visas till June 2024. 50 percent of these were skilled workers.
