In the Indian futures market, on Friday (June 7), gold futures were trading at Rs 73,374 per 10 grams with a gain of Rs 243, which closed at Rs 73,131 yesterday. Silver was trading at Rs 94311 per kg with a gain of Rs 495 during this period. On Thursday, the metal closed at 93,816.

Gold jumped in global markets

Gold jumped 20 dollars on Comex yesterday to reach near $2400 and silver registered the biggest intraday gain in 1 year. Weak job data in the US has fueled expectations of interest rate cuts, due to which gold reached a two-week high. Spot gold rose 0.8% to $2.373.99 an ounce. US gold futures were also up 0.7% to $2,393 an ounce.

Gold became expensive in bullion market

Amid good signals from the international market, gold and silver prices have registered a good rise in Delhi’s bullion market. On Thursday, gold strengthened by Rs 680, while silver jumped directly by Rs 1,400. Gold rose by Rs 680 to Rs 73,500 per 10 grams. In the last trading session, gold closed at Rs 72,820 per 10 grams. The price of silver also increased by Rs 1,400 to Rs 93,300 per kg. In the last trading session, it closed at Rs 91,900 per kg
