Gold has fallen in the futures market as well as the bullion market. In the futures market this morning, gold was trading at Rs 71,872 per 10 grams, down by Rs 316 (-0.44%). Yesterday it closed at Rs 72,188. Silver was trading at Rs 84,338 per kg, down by Rs 534 (-0.63%) from yesterday’s closing price of Rs 84,872.

How much did gold become cheaper in the bullion market?
The price of gold in Delhi bullion market fell by Rs 100 to Rs 74,250 per 10 grams. In the previous trading session, gold closed at Rs 74,350 per 10 grams. The price of silver also fell by Rs 600 to Rs 87,200 per kg. Silver prices fell for the second consecutive day. On Thursday, the price of 99.5 percent pure gold in the market fell by Rs 100 to Rs 73,900 per 10 grams. In the previous trading session, gold closed at Rs 74,000 per 10 grams. Traders attributed the fall in gold prices to weak demand from jewelers in the local market.
